WASHINGTON (AP) — Tickets go on sale today for bleacher seats along President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration parade route.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced that 5,000 tickets will go on sale Friday at 1 p.m. The tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster for $25 each.

The committee says ticket purchases are limited to four per person. They will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

About 300 parade tickets will be given to D.C. students who win an essay contest, along with their families.

Thousands of people will line the parade route. No tickets are required to stand along the Pennsylvania Avenue parade route.
