New ostomy support group holds meeting
A new ostomy support group is planning its first meeting Sunday, Jan. 18, at Potomac Hospital.
The meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. in the Hylton Education Center at the hospital. It will be an organizational meeting to determine what will happen at the monthly gatherings and when and where the group will meet.
If you know of any person with an ostomy or someone who is going to have an operation, bring them along or let them know about the new group.
Packets of information from the United Ostomy Associations of America will be available along with ostomy catalogs. Doctors and nurses are also invited to attend.

Prince William Hospital hosts health screening
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Prince William Hospital Fitness/Wellness Center will host an open house with free blood pressure check along with other health screenings.

On Jan. 19 at 10 a.m., Manassas Area Low Vision Support Group will get some tax tips from Jeni Coffie, manager of the Sudley Road Manassas office of H&R Block at the Park West Lions Club Community Center, 8620 Sunnygate Drive, Manassas.
