Man charged with having ecstasy pills
A police officer who found a 23-year-old man sleeping inside his car charged the man with possession of ecstasy pills.
The officer saw the car in the 2200 block of Tackett's Mill Drive in Lake Ridge about 1:44 a.m. on Friday, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
The man inside was identified as Zachary Robert Giordano of 14212 Chesterfield Drive in Wood-bridge.
He was charged with being in possession of the drugs and was held on a $3,000 bond. His court date was not released.
Boys charged with stealing from cars
Police said a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old boy, both from Woodbridge, were walking up to unlocked cars parked along Franklin Street in Woodbridge and looking for things to steal.
Prince William police Patrol Sgt. M.H. Hustwayte was called to investigate a report of two suspicious people in the area. Hustwayte saw two suspicious people and stopped them, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
On the boys Hustwayte found a iPod docking station, a GPS unit, a stereo face plate, a purse with change and 40 CDs.
The owner of the stolen property was called and the property was returned to him, said Hernandez.
Both teenagers were released to a parent.
Petitions will be obtained to get a hearing for the two in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, said Her-nandez.
