Lions Club presents Zoomtext software to Rivera family
On July 2, the Woodbridge Lions presented a vitally needed software package, Zoomtext, to the Rivera family. Their son, Christopher, suffers from eye problems beyond the normal person.
He had access to the software at school but at home he had to rely on his parents to get his school work done and try to keep up with school and the world around him.
Zoomtext magnifies text as well as reads the text aloud for better understanding. Christopher will now be more independent and better equipped for the new school year.
The Woodbridge Lions Club to help the visually and hearing impaired residents of Woodbridge. They also assist many others by testing elementary school children for free at the beginning of every school year.

Century 21 New Millennium collecting school supplies
This summer, Century 21 New Millennium is continuing its support of children in communities across Northern Virginia and southern Maryland by again holding its Back to School Supply Drive to collect school supplies for underprivileged children across the region.
The real estate brokerage company announced that its 12 branch offices will collect back to school supplies in July and August as part of this fundraising effort.
The supplies collected during the drive will be donated to community organizations to distribute to area students.
Individuals and businesses who wish to contribute to the drive can drop off school supplies at one of the 12 local Century 21 New Millennium offices. For a complete list of offices, visit www.c21nm.com. Anything from pencils to backpacks will be accepted.
