• Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dumfries Farmers' Market will be held at the Dumfries United Methodist Church. In addition to fresh produce, the market will feature craft booths, gourmet items, music, children and youth activities, pony rides and more.
• Saturday, 10 a.m., Children's Craft Cabin at Cabin Camp 3 at Prince William Forest Park. Children will learn how to play hop-scotch and make homemade paper dolls and other old time nature crafts.

• Monday, 7 p.m., Master Gardener John Miller will discuss "Lawn Care: How to Prepare for Fall" at the Four Seasons at Historic Virginia clubhouse.
• Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., Patchwork Pizzazz at the Dumfries Neighborhood Library, in the Dumfries Shopping Plaza. Come learn more about pioneer quilting and quilt designs, and then create your own quilt design to take home. For children entering first grade and older.
