Police said a Gainesville woman found man with a knife inside of her home Saturday.
The woman lives in the 7300 block of Early Marker Court, and told police she saw him about 1:30 a.m., after she heard footsteps coming from the hallway inside the house.
The woman looked outside of her door and saw an ominous figure - a man armed with a knife standing outside her doorway, stated Prince William police spokeswoman in a press release.
The woman screamed and the man ran out of the front door.
The man was said to be wearing no shirt and was described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 24-years-old, wearing black shorts and had his face covered with a white bandana.
Nothing was stolen from the house and no one was injured.
