Police said a Gainesville woman found a man with a knife inside her home Saturday.
The woman lives in the 7300 block of Early Marker Court, and she told police she saw him about 1:30 a.m., after she heard footsteps in the hallway of the house.
The woman looked outside her door and saw an ominous figure — a man armed with a knife — standing outside her doorway, stated Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez in a press release.
The woman screamed and the man ran out the front door.
The man was said to be wearing no shirt and was described as Hispanic and between the ages of 20 and 24, wearing black shorts and had his face covered with a white bandanna.
Nothing was stolen from the house and no one was injured.
