Self defense expert teaches kids at ACTS shelter

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Self defense expert Sterling Johnson recently volunteered his time teaching children at the Action in the Community Through Service emergency shelter in Dumfries.

Johnson, who practices a technique known as “human pressure point self defense,” gave the kids a martial arts demonstration, breaking bricks and blocks of wood like they were toothpicks.

He taught the children about pressure points, and showed them ways to defeat an attacker twice their size.

Johnson teaches the pressure point tactics, known as the Dillman method, as well as Tae Kwon Do and Simba DoJang, in seminars to businesses, schools, police and military organizations.

For more on Johnson’s seminars, call 703-507-4687.
