Tools
Looking for a great gift to honor a dad in your life? Local real estate developer Cliff Barney is collecting new and used yard tools so that youth in Georgetown South who want to earn money doing yardwork this summer can do so. These ambitious youth have already been doing yard work and trash removal at several rental houses. Cliff is willing to oversee this project and train the youth on tool safety and basic groundskeeping. If you think this is a worthy project, he would appreciate your donations of new or used: Working lawnmowers, gasoline cans, bottles of small engine oil, weed whackers, electric edgers, extension cords, string for weed whackers, rakes, shovels, pitchforks, clippers, pruning shears, hand shovels, weeding tools, work gloves, eye safety goggles, paper yard waste bags, outdoor brooms and dustpans, donations of money to purchase gasoline, Home Depot or Lowes gift cards.
Leave your tool donations in the garden area at Trinity Episcopal, 9325 West Street. You can drop off on Saturday or Sunday, until 4 p.m. or contact Cindy Brookshire at 703-361-6941.
