Bob Horowitz, known as "Bob the Woodturner," likes starting with a log and see what surprises turn up. He creates a shape that highlights the grain, color, bark and patterns unique to each piece of wood.
He works mainly from local wood including cherry, maple, poplar and walnut, mostly reclaimed from his neighbor-hood. Bob is a member of the American Association of Woodturners, the Capital Area Woodturners and the Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild.
Donna Turgeon began painting wildlife in the late 1970s while working on Virginia's Eastern Shore. She paints her botanical and wildlife subjects in their natural environments, giving the viewer an intimate look into their habitats. Donna is a member of the Fairfax Art League and the Prince William Art Society.
The Artists' Undertaking Gallery welcomes everyone to see the "Summer Woods" exhibit and to browse through the gallery's ever-changing works by local artists.
