» Today, 10:30 a.m., Gainesville's Virginia Gateway Shopping Center's "Little Tots" club continues its summer fun series with "Mad Science." The club offers free summer entertainment for kids every other Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Atlas Walk.

» Today, 1:30 p.m., The Marque at Heritage Hunt, will host a free movie. This week's movie is "Hotel for Dogs." Seating is limited. Call 703-754-7711 to RSVP

» Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Virginia Gateway shopping centerwill hold a Home and Garden show on Atlas Walk. There will be exhibits and information about home and garden products, as well as giveaways, raffles and entertainment.

» Monday, 4 p.m., Haymarket's Town Council will hold a special public town hall meeting at 15000 Wash-ington St. to discuss the sale of the Town Center property to Gerry Kennedy. This meeting was rescheduled from June 20.
