A July trial date has been set for a woman charged in the death of her adopted daughter.
Substitute Prince William Circuit Court Judge Herman A Whisenant set Alfreedia Gregg-Glover's trial for July 6, 7 and 8.
Prosecutors are requesting that she stand trial before a jury.
Gregg-Glover, 44, is charged with murder, felony murder, child abuse and filing a false police report for the death of her 13-year-old adopted daughter Alexis Lexie Glover.
Gregg-Glover reported Lexie missing from Central Library in Manassas on Jan. 7, sparking a massive search for the girl.
Her body was found in a shallow creek near the McCoart Administration building in Woodbridge two days later.
Prosecutors allege that Gregg-Glover placed the girl in the creek while she was still alive.
According to a medical examiner's report, Lexie died of drowning and exposure to the cold.
Since Lexie's death allegations have surfaced that Gregg-Glover abused her during her life.
Neighbors and others who knew Lexie have said they reported incidents of abuse to the police and social services officials.
Last month the Prince William Board Supervisors asked the Virginia Department of Social Services to conduct a review of the County Department of Social Services in connection Lexie's case.
Earlier this week the Prince William County police department announced that they are also conducting a review of how the police handled Lexie's case.
Gregg-Glover is being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Jail.
