A local writer and illustrator has recently published a children's book about family values.
Francis the Fly makes his debut in the first children's book of a series by writer Karen R. Weaver of Haymarket and illustrator Pat Clark of Manassas.
"Be Kind, Francis the Fly" is a colorfully illustrated book for children ages 2 to 6. Kindness, a fruit of the Spirit, is used to teach this age group one of life's great lessons.
Come meet the author and illustrator at the Center for the Arts (9419 Battle Street in Old Town Manassas)from 1:30 to 4:30PM.
Books will be for sale with a personal message for your child at this signing.
