Educational workshops, wellness exhibits and a NetBlitz session were highlights of the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce Health & Wellness Expo, conducted recently at Potomac Mills mall.
The expo gave chamber members information on staying healthy, while also showcasing their services and building their businesses.
A portion of the expo was reserved for a NetBlitz session. This new chamber offering features pure networking, with an agenda-free atmosphere conducive to making connections with other chamber members.
“I thought the participation throughout the entire event was amazing. I enjoyed seeing all of the other chamber members utilize the networking opportunity,” said Corry Matthews of Max Muscle, corporate sponsor of the expo.
Throughout the exhibit, which lasted from 3 to 8 p.m., dozens of exhibitors provided information on health resources in the county, while workshops gave the audience simple tips for developing healthier habits. Raffle prizes rounded out the evening and included free massages and a $100 Simon gift card.
“With so much in the news about the importance of staying healthy, the workshop gave participants a chance to learn of simple yet effective ideas that could work for their lifestyles. In fact, people lingered afterward, asking questions specific to their own lives,” said Margret K. Goldberger of the Prince William Health Partnership and presenter of the “8-5-2-1-0 for Health” workshop.
