» Today, 8 a.m.: Prince William County Supervisor Frank J. Principi, D-Woodbridge, the Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association (WPCCA) and volunteers will clean up and landscape the area along the east side of U.S. 1 from the VRE construction site to the bridge. Volunteers will meet at the VRE station outside the parking lot.

» Today, 1 to 4 p.m.: The Prince William Gospel Festival will take place at the Sean T. Connaughton Community Plaza in Woodbridge. The concert will feature Maharold Peoples Jr., Tribe of Praise, Susan Carter, Julian Awari and the First Mt. Zion Worship & Praise Ensemble.

» Thursday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Potomac Library will host Third Thursday Thrillers, where they will discuss "Blindsighted" by Karin Slaughter. The work is the first in a series of books starring town pediatrician and coroner Dr. Sara Linton, her ex-husband and chief of police, Jeffrey Tolliver, and the county's only female detective, Lena Adams. » Saturday, May 23, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Leesylvania State Park will host Colonial Children's Games at the visitor center. See games children used to play during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Play a few innings of Town Ball, race hoops against each other and play a game of catch called Graces. Appropriate for children ages 4 and older; there is no fee. For more information, call 703-583-6904.
