» Friday, 7:30 p.m., Prince William County Schools Fine Arts Department will present its first Music Faculty Re-cital at Potomac High School.

» Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dumfries Elementary School will host its first Multicultural Family Festival. Activi-ties include performances by the Potomac Panthers Step Team, Virginia Hip Hop Academy and kindergarten and first grade's musical performance. The event will celebrate the students' countries, languages and traditions. Additionally, admission to nearby Weems-Botts Museum will be discounted that day.

» Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Uplifting Inspiration Christian Bookstore at 17948Fraley Blvd., Dumfries, will hold a grand opening celebration for the community. There will be Christain artists preforming in the parking lot, book signing, moonbounce for the kids, games and much more.

» Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Triangle Baptist Church will host a Community Blood Drive and Health Fair. It will include several information booths sponsored by local medical and health-related businesses and services. Free screenings will be available for blood pressure, vision, hearing, and others. » Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m., The Prince William County branch of the NAACP will sponsor a Candidate Forum for the 52nd House of Delegates race at Little Union Baptist Church, 17150 Mine Road, Dumfries. Candidates Luke Torian and Mike Hodge will answer questions from a moderated panel of community leaders. They also will take questions from the audience.

» Monday, 5 p.m., Deadline for the Montclair Mural Contest. The association is interested in replacing the 30th anniversary blanket that hangs in the association lobby with one that represents the community's 40th anni-versary.

» Tuesday, 7 p.m., Montclair scavenger hunt.

» Wednesday, 5 p.m., Deadline for the Montclair 40th anniversary slogan contest.

» Wednesday, Montclair "Floored on Empty," a community band, concert at Dolphin Beach in Mont-clair.
