Here is the moment when we exhort you to vote.
The election is two days away. Registered voters will have the chance to decide the leadership of this state, all the way from the governor to delegates. Don’t miss your opportunity to sway the future of
Virginia.
Many people complain about the state of the nation and Virginia. Many people say things are heading in the wrong direction. Well, if you don’t make your voice heard at the voter booth, then you have
given up your only opportunity to make things better.
It has been a contentious election season, rife with negative attacks, bizarre acts and questionable facts. To a certain extent, we are all tired of it. Probably the candidates are too.
Towards the end, it is easy to want it all to be over. That is a reasonable desire, but there is only one last challenge that must be met before it can — the challenge of choice.
Many are ascribing great significance to Tuesday’s results. The outcome of the governor’s race will be a referendum on President Obama’s actions thus far, some say. A Deeds win will show that the
president is on the right track. A McDonnell win will show that people are already tired of our ambitious president.
Still others are saying that Tuesday will tell little to nothing about our feelings for our Commander-In-Chief.
Whatever the outcome, it will have significance for the direction of our historic state, and we hope that everybody will take a little time Tuesday to contribute their thoughts to the matter at the voting booth.
