Two teenage girls reported being abducted and raped after going out trick-or-treating in Dale City late Saturday.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., police were called to investigate the abduction and sexual assault of three teenage girls. The victims told police they were walking in the area of Glendale Plaza in the 4300 block of Dale Boulevard after trick-or-treating, Prince William County police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said.
The victims said a man approached and forced them at gunpoint into the woods behind the shopping center. The girls said the man ordered them to lie on the ground then raped two of the girls, ages 16 and 17, Hernandez said.
The other 16-year old girl was not assaulted. The victims -- all from Dale City -- were treated at a local hospital.
The assailant is described as a black male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark colored sneakers and was last seen leaving the area on foot.
He may have been wearing a ski mask, according to Hernandez.
