LETTER: Still class left in politics

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The chairs of the Prince William County Democratic and Republican parties recently contacted the Town of Occoquan to express their gratitude for the town’s hospitality at our September Arts and Crafts
Show. County Republican Chair Lyle Beefelt even went so far as to attend a recent town council meeting and express his appreciation in person at Citizen’s Time.

As a no doubt partly-jaded electorate confronts the character attacks and mudslinging that often accompany the closing weeks of a campaign season, I thought it worth highlighting that there are still
some alternative laudable examples of genuine civility and class.
