Morenzoni wins Global Leader Award

Rick Morenzoni, vice president of finance for TML-A Xerox Company, Manassas, was awarded the Global Leader Award at TML's recent company meeting.

Tech Expo at GMU Prince William Campus

The Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will host its Innovations 2009 Tech Expo today from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at George Mason University, Prince William Campus Bull Run Hall, 10900 University Blvd., Manassas.

The event will include hands-on exhibits, workshops and keynote address by Roy Dunbar, chairman and CEO of Network Solutions.

There is no charge to attend, and for more information, call 703-590-5000, Ext. 103.

Golf course owners make donation

The First Tee program of Prince William County received a $10,000 donation from David Southworth and Joseph Deitch, the owners of Creighton Farms, a luxury community and golf course in Aldie.

The donation was made on behalf of golf legend Jack Nicklaus, who visited the course recently and conducted a golf workshop for The First Tee participants. Creighton Farms is home to a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

The money will be used to add two elementary schools to the program and supplement coaching for current participants.

Pottery studiohosts reopening

Claytime Pottery Studio will have a grand re-opening Nov. 13.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. with Manassas Mayor Harry "Hal" Parrish II doing the honor. Refreshments will be served and each guest will receive a free holiday pot to paint with any purchase.

The family-owned paint-your-own-pottery studio is celebrating its sixth year in business. The company recently moved to a new location at 9814 Liberia Ave., Manassas.

Company honored for performance

Joe Moholland Moving, Woodbridge, an agent of the nationwide household goods carrier Mayflower Transit, was honored recently by the van line for exceptional professional performance.

Announcement of the recognition, conferred as part of the van line's annual awards program, was made by Mayflower President Richard H. McClure.

The local firm has received the following honors during the past year: Million Dollar Club Award, $5 million level; Fleet Safety Award; and Performance Excellence Award.

VASI sells Web and creative service division

Virginia Systems Inc. of Manassas announced the sale of its Web and creative services group, IPG, to Woodbridge-based MDA Technologies Group LLC. effective Nov.1.

VASI's IPG clients will not notice any changes except for the phone number. The staff will move from VASI's Manassas office to MDA Technologies Group's headquarters in Woodbridge near the Prince William Parkway.
