It's time to lace up the running shoes! Runners and walkers will all be part of the action with this year's Turkey Trot 10K run and 5K walk on Sunday in Lake Ridge.

Prizes, for runners only, are awarded to first-, second-, and third-place finishers in the various age groups. Good luck to all!
Get a holiday poinsettia from WSHS Boosters
You can beautify your space this holiday season with a fresh poinsettia. These quality plants are being sold by the Woodbridge Senior High School Athletic Boosters Club, and need to be ordered before Nov. 20. The cost is $15 or $20, depending on size of plant.
To order, contact the WSHS Activity Department or Kelly Molloy at 703-477-0876. Funds will help WSHS sports activities, and these red poinsettias will be ready for pick up by Dec. 3.
Wreaths Across America day will be Dec. 12
"Wreaths Across America" is a non-profit group which works to place wreaths on headstones at national and state veterans' cemeteries. By 2008, over 60,000 volunteers helped place wreaths in over 300 cemeteries.
Dec. 12 is designated as National Wreaths Across America day, and there are several ways that your business or organization can participate. You can contact American Legion Post 364 at 703-398-7182 to learn more about how you can help.
Watch stage magic with your kids this month
Entertainment for children and youth is on stage with Pied Piper Theatre's performances of "Aladdin Jr." this month. This is a magical story that comes alive with songs, colorful costumes, dances and action of over 40 young actors from the local area.
Terrell Washington plays Aladdin, and Maria Davis is Princess Jasmine. Tickets are $8 in advance, $9 at the door; group rates are also available. Call 703-330-2787.

Art Society schedules its holiday show for Nov. 28
Mark your calendar now for the annual holiday show provided to the community by the Prince William Art Society. The show will include sales of seasonal note cards made by local artists, and other works.
The Prince William Art Society is a non-profit organization, and the holiday show helps with scholarship awards to high school students. The show is Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tall Oaks Community Center in Lake Ridge.
