I want to express my deep gratitude to all of you who shared your time and resources by volunteering on my campaign, offering advice, graciously talking with me when I knocked on your doors, and who
cast your vote for me. It was truly a pleasure to meet you and to work with you.
Every one of us can be proud of the campaign, and proud of what we fought for. We stood up for having pre-kindergarten available for all children to provide a strong start in life, and for increased funding for
all education so the future will always be filled with opportunity for everyone. We stood up for working families and for easier access to healthcare for all Virginians. We fought for our belief that you must
adequately fund first responders, and also strengthen the Line of Duty Act so that first responders will know their families are taken care of if they should make the ultimate sacrifice for others. And we
stood up with facts to let everyone know just how dire our transportation crisis really is. We promoted all of this knowing that economic development and protecting the General Fund are the keys to
everything Virginia wants to accomplish.
Let all your representatives know where you stand on these and other important issues, and then hold them accountable for keeping their word. We must continue to fight against politics as usual, so that
if we are promised something by our legislators, we ensure that the promise is followed through. It is written in Luke 12:34, “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Please keep asking your
representatives where their hearts are, so that we may all share in the treasure of a brighter tomorrow in Virginia.
