An art exhibit featuring the local landscape is on display in Old Town Manassas.
Now through Dec. 1, the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce is hosting an exhibit of "en plein air" paintings by artist Michele Frantz.
"En plein air" means that the painting were executed outdoors, rather than in a studio.
A resident of Bristow who enjoys exploring the region's parks and historic sites, Frantz began concentrating on the "plein air" approach a few years ago. Several of her watercolors of Old Town Manassas are included in the exhibit, as well as a number of acrylics painted at Fredericksburg, Clifton, Bluemont and other places around Northern Virginia.
The chamber is located at 8963 Center St. in Manassas and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
