… Bill Moss, executive director, Potomac Hospital Foundation, who received the 2009 Distinguished Service Award from the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association recently at the VHHA annual meeting at The Homestead in Hot Springs. Moss was the president and CEO of Potomac Hospital for 31 years before accepting his new role in the Potomac Hospital Foundation in July of this year.
… Artists Lu Harris and Catherine Hillis, who along with their friends and families will be at the Caton Merchant Gallery at the Candy Factory, Manassas, to celebrate their exhibit opening Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The display will run through Dec. 17. The public is invited.
… Kathy Kann, coordinator for the 25th annual Holiday Craft Show by the Gar-Field Orchestra Boosters, who announced that this year's show will be Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the school at 14000 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge. Admission is free and the show will feature more than 150 spaces of homemade craft and food items. All proceeds will help with the orchestra program's expenses including new instruments, music, awards and scholarships.
