Recently described by the "Wall Street Journal" as the "most quoted college professor in the land," Larry J. Sabato will provide a survey of the state of American politics at a special Insight Series dinner organized by the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce.
He will appear Dec. 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Best Western Battlefield Inn in Manassas.
Sabato is University Professor of Politics and director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics.
His crystal ball electoral analysis is the nation's most accurate -- not only correctly projecting Barack Obama's win in 2008 but also his margin of victory in the Electoral College, as well as the correct popular vote percentages.
He also accurately predicted 99 percent of Senate, House and governor winners -- by far the best showing in the business.
The author of more than 20 books, Sabato is routinely called upon to provide expert advice to media outlets in Northern Virginia.
The dinner sponsored by PNC Bank is $35 prepaid, $40 at the door for chamber members and $45 for non-members.
"I look forward to discussing the gubernatorial outcome, the new Virginia administration and the upcoming 2010 congressional mid-term elections at the event," said Sabato.
