Today, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the McCoart Building, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors will decide whether another natural resource will be chopped up by a developer.
Please, speak before the county supervisors, e-mail them and tell them we will no longer tolerate the developers paving over our natural resources.
Tell the supervisors to vote no to a Walgreens on the corner of Hoadly Road and Prince William Parkway with its drive-thru.
This 25-acre wetland with an active spring, forest and streams needs to be permanently protected to prevent flooding and to protect our water quality.
Tell the supervisors we’ll no longer tolerate developers paving over our land, less than one acre at a time, in order to take away our wetlands and forests.
The supervisors had four months to write new zoning ordinances to protect our natural resources, and they did not do it.
The supervisors did not permanently protect Silver Lake, and now it is half the open space that we, the voters, asked for.
We, the people, need to stand up and make our voices heard.
We, the people, have the power to vote the supervisors into office, not the developers.
We, the people, can tell the supervisors how to vote, how to protect our natural resources and environment.
E-mail them today and tell them to vote no to Walgreens on the corner of Hoadly Road and Prince William Parkway.
Here’s the video of what you are telling the supervisors to save: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyunIBIXwdc
