Thank you Rep. Frank Wolf for being a leader in trying to get this government to recognize and understand where all this federal spending is leading this country (News and Messenger, Nov. 13).
Billions of taxpayer dollars for a dubious health care program that will still leaves millions of Americans uninsured and no specifics on what medical costs are going to be reduced. Giving billions of dollars
to two car manufacturers and their financial arm — GMAC — which may require more money to survive.
Now, for millions of dollars, the government is considering buying a prison in Illinois to house the 200, or so, Gitmo prisoners. Fiscal conservatives need to start getting their voices and concerns heard on
how taxpayer money is spent or get ready for some hefty tax increases and long-term national debt.
