A space heater too close to combustibles is to blame for a Wednesday afternoon house fire on Minnieville Road, investigators said.
Firefighters were called to 14916 Minnieville Road at 3:45 p.m., where they found a single family home on fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured. The Red Cross and a county fire chaplain were called to help the family.
Investigators determined that the blaze started with a portable electric space heater.
Damage to the house was estimated at $110,000.
