The festive season is upon us and you are invited to a "Civil War Christmas Boutique and Musical Moment" tomorrow at La Capilla at Main and Church streets in Old Town Manassas.
Sponsored by La Capilla (La Chapelle Restaurant), The Prince William Symphony and The Manassas Museum, this event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature a special day of shopping with lunch and/or dinner. The lunch program runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the dinner program is from 5 to 7 p.m. The executive ballroom will be set up with vendors and strolling Civil War-era singers until 7 p.m. The Prince William Symphony will present a Civil War-era musical program at 7:30 p.m.

Local students in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Four local high school students -- Katelyn McGlothlin and Heather Teschke from Battlefield High School and Karen Bagnell and Megan Hendrix from Brentsville High School -- will travel to New York to dance in next week's annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The students, will join a team of carefully selected teens from across the country to perform in the parade.The local dancers will be featured on Channel 4.
