A man robbed a Manassas bank on Monday afternoon, a few weeks and a few miles from the site of another heist earlier this month.
Police said the robber walked into the United Bank at 9872 Liberia Ave., about 2:30 p.m., approached the teller and demanded money.
The teller complied and the robber left with an undisclosed amount of money, said Manassas police Sgt. Tim Neumann.
He was last seen headed in the direction of the Staples office supply store, located near the bank.
The man did not use a weapon during the robbery.
He was described as white or Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, 6 feet tall, with a mustache and wearing a dark jacket, winter cap and a scarf.
United Bank is the second to be robbed in the Manassas area this month.
On Nov. 12, a man walked into the Synergy Federal Credit Union off Sudley Manor Drive at 11:50 a.m., approached the teller and demanded cash, police said.
The robber, between 20 and 30 years old, implied he had a weapon but never displayed one.
Police searched the area but made no arrest. That man was described as white, about 5 feet 7 or 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds with a light beard.
