Friday and Saturday nights in October, starting Oct. 9, the Weems-Botts Museum will hold Haunted Museum Lock-Ins and Haunted Heights Ghost Walks.
Space is limited and reservations are required for both events.
Ghost Walks cost $5 for adults, $3 for children. Lock-ins are $50 per person and payment must be received within seven days of making your reservations. For more information, call 703-221-2218.
Spotlight on artist
ArtFire.com recently announced that Tina Kudlick of Dumfries will be awarded Feature Artisan Status on Oct. 9. Her spotlight will run on the homepage until Oct. 12.

'Pink Ribbon' class
Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center will start a Pilates class targeted at breast cancer survivors. The Pink Ribbon class will feature stretching and strength-building exercises meant to help survivors regain movement after surgery.
The course is run in conjunction with the Pink Ribbon Program, a national organization that promotes Pilates exer-cises for breast cancer survivors. The cost is $168 plus a one-time $30 material fee. SBDCRC will offer a free orien-tation Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Classes will start Oct. 12 and run for six weeks.
The instructor recommends that participants attend class twice a week. Classes are at 9 a.m. Monday and Wednes-day, 7 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
The center is located at 14300 Minnieville Road.
Dining with Diabetes
Dining with Diabetes is a lifestyle program for people with diabetes. It focuses on the consequences of high blood sugar and how to improve lifestyle behaviors. Food shopping, preparation and eating out are also discussed in the class. There are four sessions and a follow-up meeting three months later. The class starts with a light meal at 6 p.m.
This new series takes place Wednesdays, Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bull Run Regional Library, Manassas. Call 703-792-4764 for registration. Monday is the registration deadline. The course fees include a note-book and recipes and are $40 per person with diabetes (includes A1c test at first class and follow-up) and $15 per spouse, family member, case-worker or caregiver.
Fun Bunch
The Fun Bunch will resume monthly meetings, on the third Thursday of each month at 10 a.m., beginning Oct. 15. St. Paul UMC on G Street in Woodbridge sponsors the outreach group for all area residents who are 50 years or older. The meeting will be held in the new Fellowship Hall.
