An unidentified man was struck and killed Saturday night at the intersection of Smoketown and Minnieville roads in Woodbridge.
He died at the scene and the driver, a 17-year-old Woodbridge boy, stayed at the scene, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
The boy was driving a 2000 Honda Passport south on Minnieville Road when the man crossed Minnieville not at a crosswalk, said Hernandez.
The driver has not been charged and an investigation is ongoing.
Earlier Saturday afternoon, witnesses said, another man jumped in front of a truck on U.S. 1 in Triangle.
Police were stationed outside of the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department around 5:30 p.m. when the man apparently ran in front of 1970s model Ford pickup.
A fire and rescue spokesman said the man suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. He was not transported to the hospital.
When rescue crews finished assessing the man’s injuries, police handcuffed him and placed him in a police cruiser.
It is not clear if he was charged.
Police allowed the driver to leave the scene.
