LETTER: Vets support Anderson

»  Comments | Post a Comment

I read with some interest the Sept. 23 article, “Vets’ group forms to support Nichols.” According to the article, Del. Nichols was a co-sponsor of the “Military service personnel bill of rights,” which means
that he just lent his name to the bill. Again, according to the article, the bill did not even make it out of committee. It must have been written by another lawyer in “mumbo-jumbo.” A lot of the
aforementioned bill is already law, so who is Nichols kidding?

If you like what Obama and the Democrats are doing to this country, then vote for the status quo. In just one alarming example, read HB 1388 where your government spent $20,000,000 of your money to
move members/supporters of Hamas, a terrorist organization, to the United States, with housing, food — the whole shebang.

If you want a delegate who will work for you to protect your civil and veteran rights, then Rich Anderson is your man. Rich is compassionate and a good listener. He believes that government is too big and
is wasteful of taxpayer money.

Rich Anderson has the credentials to support his candidacy as delegate of the 51st District. Not only is he a 30-year Air Force veteran, but while serving in the military he gave many years of voluntary
service in the USAF Aux (Civil Air Patrol). Their mission is threefold: Air Search Rescue (looking for downed aircraft and missing persons); the Cadet Program (mentoring young boys and girls to become
pilots and good citizens); Aerospace Education (some of these young people are now astronauts). Rich became USAF Aux National Commander and earned the rank of general. This experience, fully
qualifies Rich to be the next delegate from the 51st District.

As a veteran, past state vice-commander of the American Legion and a life member of the VFW, I have fought vigorously for maintaining veterans’ rights. I ask all, especially military veterans, to support
Rich Anderson. Call me (703-659-1461) and let us form an all-star veterans group for Rich Anderson
