Police found a 77-year-old Lake Ridge woman who had been assaulted, neglected and abused on Friday. Now, the man charged with her care faces charges.
Investigators were called to the 12700 block of Colby Drive in Lake Ridge at 5:34 p.m., after a man called a tip line to report he had been abusing the woman, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
When police arrived, they found bruises and cuts near the woman’s face and other signs of physical assault. The woman was taken to a local hospital for her injuries, said Hernandez.
The man who police said called the tip line, 46-year-old Michael Francis Yezek, was charged with abuse and neglect of an incapacitated adult.
He was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
