The date has been set for the third annual City of Manassas Neighborhood Conference.
It will take place Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club in Manassas (behind Dean Elementary School.)
Registration and the exhibit hall will open at 9 a.m.
The theme is “Ready [check] Manassas” builds on the statewide “Ready [check] Virginia” public education effort.
The goal is to prepare residents for all hazards and offer the tools necessary to make a difference in each neighborhood and the greater Manassas community.
John Matthews, executive director of the Community Safety Institute, will be the keynote speaker.

Entertainment, food and exhibits are planned.
