"Pipescreams" concert comes to UMC this Saturday

Grace UMC’s annual “Pipescreams” concert, a costumed celebration of Grace’s Mighty Austin Pipe Organ, will take place on Saturday at 7 p.m. This is a musical experience for the entire family and the repertoire will explore the organ’s “spookier” tunes. Costumes are welcomed but not required.

This year’s performers are Paul Bowen, Kevin Feltmann, William Atwood, Lisa Galoci, Lon Quinones, Becky Verner, and Rev. C. Milton Rodgers III. Admission is free. Autumnfest

Grace UMC invites the community to celebrate the fall season with them at Grace’s an-nual AutumnFest on Sunday from 5 to 7:15 p.m. Come and celebrate with your church neighbors at this free family event. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes. Ac-tivities will begin with an outdoor worship service. Following the outdoor service, there will be food, games and hayrides. From 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. the fun will continue with ’Trunk ’n Treat’, which is made up of cars parked in Grace’s parking lot with their deco-rated trunks filled with candy. Come out to enjoy lots of community fellowship in a safe environment. Fun, food and drinks will be served. Admission is free.

Yard sale

The women of Grace UMC will be hosting a yard and bake sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. This yard sale will have something for everyone, including gently used general household items, toys, clothing, baked goods and more. Proceeds will support charities and programs in the church and community. Gently used items for donation will be ac-cepted at the church’s lower level fellowship hall on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Grace UMC is located at 9750 Wellington Road, behind the Wellington Giant Food. Trail has eyes

“The Trail Has Eyes” will be presented by Parks and Recreation & Merrye Band of Mis-fits on Friday and Saturday at Signal Hill Park. The event starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. The cost is $5 per person. It is not recommended for children under six years of age.Volunteers are still needed. Yard sale

Project Mend-A-House is holding a fall yard sale and it’s open to the public. The yard sale will be held rain or shine on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Prince William County Landfill,14811 Dumfries Road. Cash and checks are accepted. Find great deals on windows, doors, cabinets, flooring, trim, lighting fixtures, kitchen and bathroom sinks, trim, hot water heaters, tubs and more, all while giving back to the community. “Photo Soup,” featuring pictures taken by Marge Shaffer during travels around the Ba-hamas, Canada, Italy, Panama, and the United States, are currently on display at the Ma-nassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. The free exhibition will be on display until Nov. 7 and it is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.
