LETTER: Enough with the mud

»  Comments | Post a Comment

I read complaints from Democrats and liberals about negative political advertising but see little consistency in their views.

When they take the time to identify all candidates that use negative or attack ads to influence voters, then it will not be viewed as partisan.

I, too, would like to see advertising that focuses on issues and not misleading facts but that does not seem to the method for success.

I encourage the Deeds campaign and others to also stop finding negative things to say about the other candidate and provide voters with their plan for issues that resonate and are meaningful.

But I guess it is easier to attack others than provide your views so that you are held accountable once elected. Maybe we could give the Deeds campaign a Nobel Peace Prize if they stop the negative
ads today.
