In your Oct. 20 endorsement of Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General, one of your principal reasons given was his ability to take on the full responsibility of the job. Yet, public safety is unarguably a top
priority of that job, and his Web site’s absence of public safety goals as attorney general has left me questioning your rationale: Did you consider if Cuccinelli is really capable of protecting ALL Virginians,
and why have you seemingly overlooked this issue?
Fact is, Cuccinelli still has not released any plan to make Virginia a safer place. The only thing remotely approaching a plan on his Web site is the line, “As Virginia’s Attorney General, public safety will
be my top priority.” Meanwhile, Steve Shannon’s Web site lists details to fight sexual predators, drunk drivers, gangs, drug dealers and government corruption.
While Shannon has a publicly available plan to improve the safety of our families, your endorsement painfully infers that Cuccinelli only has a plan to get elected. Cuccinelli has not even one accessible
plan to protect every Virginian and especially our children. The only thing Cuccinelli seems to offer is his rhetoric on protecting his far- right political agenda.
