Local Doctor wins Prestigious Award

Virginia’s Podiatrist of the Year practices in Prince William County.
The State of Virginia, and in particular, Prince William County, has the distinct honor of having the cream of the crop in the field of podiatric medicine. Dr. Richard Derner, surgeon and partner in Lake Ridge Foot and Ankle, which is located in both Prince William and and Stafford counties, is the first and only podiatrist to receive the distinguished Podiatrist of the Year award from the Virginia Podiatric Medicine Association. This award is bestowed upon the podiatrist who delivers outstanding performance of service to the foot and ankle, the welfare of the public, and for services to and on behalf of the profession of podiatry. In other words, Virginia, Dr. Derner is preeminent in his field!
Dr. Derner is well respected by his peers and sought out by prospective patients from near and far. You only have to mention his name and the accolades start. This is due mainly to his exceptional and superb surgical skills, but also to the fact that he genuinely desires to help people. Dr. Derner graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He is a Diplomat with the Board of Podiatric Surgery and is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle surgery. He is a member of several professional medical associations, as well as being a Fellow with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has authored several articles for various professional journals.
