Tinsmiths were very important in the 1700s because they made many of the things that people used in their houses. You will get to design and make your own metal lantern so that you can light up your house after dark. There is a $2 fee for the program. »Saturday, Sept. 12, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center will host a Fitness Demo Day that will include free Spinning Classes, free demonstrations on the Pilates Allegro Reformer, free lectures on health and wellness, and a variety of our local fitness resources will be in attendance. Also, anyone who purchases a six or 12 month pass will receive a 15 percent discount.
