Wreaths Across America
The American Legion Post 364 encourages its officers, members and public at large to support the Wreaths Across America Program. Since 1992, Morill Worcester, a wreath maker from Maine, has donated and placed 5,000 wreaths each year on headstones at Arlington National Cemetery. In 2006, Wreaths Across America was formed to see that this event emulated at other National and State Veteran's Cemeteries. By 2008, 350 locations were participating and 105,000 wreaths were placed by over 60,000 volunteers. Dec. 12 is National Wreaths Across America day. Getting fit at Sharron Baucom
The annual pass sale begins Sept. 12 at the Sharron Baucom Dale City Rec Center on Dale Boulevard. Customer appreciation week kicks off on the 12th and runs though the 18th. Class sampling and great pass deals are available. The week kicks off with Demo Day on that Saturday and goes on with many other great fitness opportunities throughout the week. Mark your calendars.

The September meeting of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1270 will be on Sept.17 at the Dale City VFW. Please make note, this is a different location than the usual. There will be a picnic and a meet-ing and all are welcome. Call Betty at 703-499-8902 for more info.
