Two teenagers were arrested after a Gainesville boy was stabbed Sunday, Prince William County police said Monday.

Officers were called to the 14800 block of Pond Circle in Gainesville about 3:30 p.m., police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said.

The victim had an argument with three acquaintances, Hernandez said, and was stabbed in the back with a sharp object.

He was flown to an area hospital, she said, but had non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities identified two of the victim’s three acquaintances and took them into custody.

Eighteen-year-old Ali Sina Spanta of 7300 Yountville Drive #201 in Gainesville and a 16-year-old boy from Gainesville were charged with malicious wounding.

They were held without bond, and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Police were still trying to identify the third of the victim’s acquaintances Monday.
