It’s time to clean out your home and turn those treasures into cash. Rent a space at the semi-annual Montclair FCE Community Yard Sale, which will take place Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Henderson Elementary School parking lot on Waterway Drive. The rain date is Oct. 4.

More than 60 spaces are available for sellers. Vendors do not need to be Montclair residents. Space rental for the sale of food is not permitted. The rental fee for each space is $20. Space assignments are given in the order of phone calls received. Reservations will be accepted beginning Monday at 8:30 a.m.

For reservations, call Diana Bell at 703-670-7696.

A non-refundable deposit of $10 is required and must be submitted by Sept. 23. Cancellations must be received by Sept. 24.

The Montclair FCE Club is a non-profit organization affiliated with Virginia and Community Education Service. Space rental fees and all proceeds from food sales are donated to local charities.

Forest Park Bruin Band

The Forest Park Marching Band has started another season providing spirit and entertainment to the community at Forest Park’s football games. It invites the community to join the band at the game for a night of family fun at the FPHS stadium. Upcoming home games are Oct. 2 vs. Woodbridge and Oct. 16th vs. Gar-Field.

To support the band programs, students will knock on doors in the Forest Park area Saturday. The students will be in their band uniforms. The boosters would like to thank you for your support of all of the award-winning band programs at FPHS with a tax-deductible donation.
