* A furnace valued at $1,000 was stolen from a construction site in the 2400 block of Battery Hill Circle between 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday.

* A 14-year-old boy said he was at a playground at 13519 Lynn St. when another male took his iPod. The victim was not injured.

The robber is described as black, 18 to 19 years old, 6 feet 4 inches tall, thinly built, black hair, brown eyes, wearing a blue shirt, blue hat and dreads.

* A woman who was working on her lawn in the 12800 block of Valleywood Drive about 10 a.m. Sunday said she noticed the screen on her window had been tampered with.

Nothing was stolen from her house and no one got inside.

* A screen of a basement window was tampered with at a home in the 15500 block of Hume School Court between 10 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

No one got inside the home and nothing was stolen.

* A catalytic converter was stolen from a 2004 Ford F-250 parked in front of the victim's business in the 1000 unit block of Cannons Court between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and 7:45 a.m. Friday.

The stolen property and damage to the van was valued at $3,783.28.
