There are many bad days for the animals that end up at the Prince William County animal shelter.
Tuesday, Sept. 15, was not one of them. Why? Because five people we entrust as our community leaders stood up and listened to their constituents. I would like to send my sincere thanks to Chairman
Stewart and Supervisors Jenkins, Principi, Caddigan and Stirrup who voted in favor of the resolution to establish an Animal Advisory Committee.
They are all to be commended for their determination in forming this committee. Special thanks goes out to Supervisor Jenkins who backed this initiative from the very beginning, Chairman Stewart whose
staff was incredibly helpful to the citizens and to Supervisor Principi who took the time to ask the pertinent questions and actually visited the shelter. My hat is off to all who voted for the Animal Advisory
Committee.
