On Jan. 30, 2010, the Dale City Civic Association will be sponsoring their annual Community Recognition and Awards Banquet honoring many exemplary residents of Dale City. DCCA is asking for nominations in the following awards: Catherine Spellane Citizen of the Year, Kathleen Seefeldt Community Service Award, the Ernestine Jenkins Lifetime Achievment Award. The nominations should include the name, brief bio, his or her significant contribution for the betterment of Dale City or its residents, clubs and organizations they belong to, and please limit this info to two pages. Nominees for the Catherine Spellane Award and the Ernestine Jenkins Award must be residents of Dale City. Nominees for the Kathleen Seefeldt Award must be Prince William County residents. The Rockettes
The DCCA is sponsoring a holiday trip to see the Rockettes on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. for the Radio City Rock-ettes' Christmas Spectacular at the George Mason Patriot Center. This Sunday at Prince William Forest Park from 2 to 6:30 p.m., Boy Scout Troop 1390 will celebrate its 35th anni-versary at Cabin Camp one. If you were part of this troop at any point as a Scout or leader, please come out and join in the celebration.
