» Today, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.: Antietam Elementary School Back to School Night for second and third grades.

» Today, 7:15 to 8 p.m.: Antietam Elementary School Back to School Night for fourth and fifth grades.

» Today, 6:45 to 8:30 p.m.: Lake Ridge Elementary School Back to School Night for third through fifth grades.

» Today, 7 to 8:30 p.m.: Old Bridge Elementary School Back to School Night for third through fifth grades.

» Today, 7 p.m.: The Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association's Declaration, By-Laws and Articles Review Committee will meet at Tall Oaks Community Center.

» Thursday, 7 p.m.: Springwoods Elementary School Back to School Night for fourth and fifth grades.

» Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Occoquan Farmers Market will be held at the end of Mill Street underneath the Va. 123 bridge.

» Saturday and Sunday: The Lorton Workhouse hosts "Art, Wine & All That Jazz."

» Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.: Chocolate and Champagne Reception at The Loft Gallery for the opening of the Paper Moon exhibit, featuring original watercolors by Jane Gillette. A Halloween party wrap-up will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31.
