DALE CITY Va. -- Nine people were displaced from their Dale City home on Tuesday after a fire ripped through their basement.
It’s not clear if anyone was injured in the blaze but the Red Cross was called to assist the family.
Fire and rescue units were called to the scene about 11:30 a.m., in the 15000 block of Cardin Place. When they arrived, crews reported seeing black smoke billowing from the house.
Initial reports indicate the cause of the fire to be electrical. A request for comment from a department spokeswoman has not been returned.
