The news headline on Jan. 30 couldn't have been clearer or more welcome: "Economy expands at fastest clip in 6 years."
The article went on to point out that in the final two quarters of the Bush administration, plus the first quarter of 2009 (through March) the economy contracted at an increasing rate.
The Obama administration changed all that beginning in the second quarter of 2009, when the economy began to surge back. The 5.7 percent growth in the GDP for the fourth quarter of 2009 should boost the confidence of all Americans.
