If you like to sing, consider being part of New Dominion Choraliers. Rehearsals started last week; they take place at 7:30 p.m. Old Bridge UMC in Lake Ridge, at the intersection of Old Bridge and Westridge roads.
No auditions are required. Registration is $30, and you can still register Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
NDC is preparing for the 14th annual spring concert, which will be held May 15 and 16. The group will travel to Richmond Feb. 13 to sing at the annual convention of the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution. Mem-bers are very honored to have been asked to do this.
Meeting for Parks and Recreation set
The 38th annual Meeting of the Membership for Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association members will be at Tall Oaks Community Center on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m.
Board election results will be announced at the meeting, and there will be refreshments, door prizes and a guest speaker.
The five candidates running for three seats on the nine-member Board of Directors are Janet R. Foote, Michael J. Smith, Hal M. Johnson, Tamika T. Myers and Ronald D. Yoho.
Middle school transition info given on Wednesday
Woodbridge Middle School Principal Skyles Calhoun will give information about "Middle School Transi-tion" at the Springwoods Elementary School library from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
All parents who are interested, or who have a student who will be in middle school, are welcome to attend. Spring-woods Principal Ginnie Ripperger will be there, and there will be a time for questions and answers about the middle school experience.
Spring sports leagues ready to be prepared
Spring sports leagues, sponsored by Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation, will start in March for instructional youth T-ball and coach pitch ball, and youth soccer.
The league fee includes uniforms and most equipment, and is $50 for LRPRA members or $55 for non-members.
Registration began this week. Call the recreation department at 703-491-2154, Ext. 112, if you want to register your child for one of the leagues.
